Last Friday, the graduation ceremony of the Nanoscience Master’s program 2025 took place at the Basel Papiermühle – a festive and joyful occasion where the graduates received their well-earned diplomas and celebrated their achievements together.

Several short, inspiring speeches and a video retrospective offered an opportunity to reflect on the demanding interdisciplinary Nanoscience program and to receive best wishes for the future. During the ceremony, the award for the best Master’s thesis was presented to Katja Ammann in recognition of her outstanding work.

A Science Slam and live music performed by a clarinet-cello duo added to the lively atmosphere. A short guided tour through the Papiermühle gave guests fascinating insights into traditional papermaking, before the evening concluded with a relaxed aperitif shared with family members, partners and supervisors.
