For the first time, the Swiss Nanoscience Institute participated in the “Industrienacht” on April 24, and it was a resounding success.
From 5:00 pm to midnight, numerous visitors explored the SNI’s offerings at the University of Basel’s Pharmazentrum.
Dr. Marcus Wyss, Head of the Nano Imaging Lab, gave presentations introducing the world of microscopy and tiny structures. Additionally, ten hands-on experiment stations provided a practical approach, allowing interested visitors to explore nanoscience, as well as physical and chemical phenomena, for themselves.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable event – with plenty of opportunities to also discuss current research and potential applications.
